Clara Busekist
Passes Away
Mrs. Clara Busekist was born
August 16, 1890 to Anna Simon-
sen and Peter Hansen at Chalco,
and passed away at an Omaha
hospital (in Monday, October 24,
1977 at the age of 78 years, 2
months and 8 days.
Mrs. Busekist attended schools
in Chalco and was united in mar-
riage to Fred Busekist at her par-
ents home in Millard on Febru-
ary 18, 1920. They farmed in the
Gretna area until moving to
Gretna in 1941.
Survivors include her husband,
Fred, sons William of Syracuse
and Melbourne of Scottsbluff; da-
ughter Donna ( Mrs. Richard
Lewis) of Millard, 16 grandchild-
ren, 6 great grandchildren; bro-
ther Will Hansen of Millard;
sisters Mrs. Minnie Christian-
sen of Tilden and Mrs. Anna
Fallesen of Neligh; and sister-
in-law Mrs. Henry Hansen of
Gretna.
Funeral services were held
Thursday afternoon, October 27,
1977 at the Resurrection Luth-
eran Church in Gretna with the
Rev. William Koeber officiating.
Mrs. Karen Schram was organ-
ist and Judy Schram soloist..In-
terment was in Voss-Mohr Ce-
metery. Pallbearers were Bill
Busekist, Jr., Leonard Busekist,
Scott Busekist, Craig, Curt and
Doug Lewis.
